A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
The remnants of Kota’s militia have finished regrouping on Vanqor and reestablished communication with FULCRUM, their connection with the rest of the REBEL ALLIANCE and the cell has been assigned the new codename ENDURANCE.
Above Vanqor, an aging orbital platform may hold the key to striking a painful blow against the GALACTIC EMPIRE. Captured data reveals that the mysterious PERLEMIAN HAUL, an Imperial convoy filled with valuable information and powerful weapons, must stop there to refuel.
Now, an elite strike force from the ENDURANCE cell approaches the station. Their goal: infiltrate the station, board one of the convoy’s freighters, and commandeer it.
CT-6116 “Kix” uncovered data from the droid brain of BLX-D4R while working on reprogramming the droid for rebel use. It indicated the Perlemian Haul was coming to Vanqor, and the rebels decided to seize the opportunity to strike against the Empire and implicate Muraga the Hutt if possible. See the Prelude, Recovered Intel. The night before they leave for the mission, Sinek Kaplumbaga has a dream about a lonely girl in a prison cell, the words M226 painted on the side of the ship.
The crew boarded Martle Station in their Stolen Lamda-class T-4a Shuttle using the false identities Fulcrum provided as workers hired on for station cleaning and maintenance. They got to quick work learning about the station. Maro Bibble broke into a bulkhead and began to access security systems while (Jennifer) went and found an officer – Staff Chief Blin Waldin – in the mess hall, gleaning information from him under her false identity. They eventually narrowed down that several freighters from the Perlemian Haul would be here the next day – so they set about finding a way to board the ship. They met with Passk who was able to introduce them to Raf. Raf allowed them to join his work gang, the Big Black, in exchange for getting a member of his workgang and his ill wife off Martle Station. They made plans to hide them in cargo containers and load them in along with the rest of the cargo.
After accessing the security tapes (triggering the alarm in the process), Maro was able to splice together footage that would show them leaving towards their shuttle. They rigged the shuttle to blow at the same time they were boarding the M226 – making it look like engine failure (as they had already set up that their ship had trouble when landing). The plan went off without any apparent issues – though they were quite nervous when the Inquisitor gave control of the prisonerMorian Kal to Lt. Commander Jilan Noor, and they were aboard.
After taking out a couple of patrol troopers, “Nerfherder” donned the officers uniform while the rest of the party hid in containers again. Spacer managed to bluff a worker into loading the containers with the players into a skiff and sending them to the first Cargo Bay. Inside, they were nearly found out as he tried to bluff another worker to moving them into the 3rd cargo bay. After a short shootout, a Stormtrooper guard was dead, and the worker was unconcious. BX inspected the container and found a cylinder full of some dust – which Sinek eventually identified as ground Khyber crystal.
The party woke the captured worker and coerced him into service. They moved to the second by and learned that it was a prison. They took the security room by force, and worked their way through the prison where they found and rescued Morian Kal – the woman from Sinek’s dream.
Unfortunately, this set off the alarm aboard the ship. The party kicked it into high gear, releasing all prisons at once and heading back to their skiff. They rode directly to the command module, bypassed the lock, and took an elevator to the bridge. From the elevator maintenance shaft, Maro managed to send a surge that damaged almost all lighting throughout the ship. A firefight erupted in the room outside the bridge, that ended with 2 dead stormtroopers and 8 dead imperial troopers.
When they finally got the doors to the bridge open, they killed Lieutenant Hyzhan Troo and Lt. Commander Jilan Noor – the XO and Captain of the ship. (Jennifer) then successfully brought the ship out of hyperspace and jumped to the rendezvous coordinates which took them to the Telaris System. Here they were greeted by Admiral Raddus who honored them for their contribution. The rebels hiding in the wreckage of the Endurance were given a ship (which was in the 3rd cargo bay, in imperial impound), and given responsibility of their entire sector.
